Tournament Results from the Coldwater Tennis Invitational Saturday where the varsity boys tennis team finished the day 1-1-1 overall vs. Coldwater, Hillsdale & Grand Ledge High Schools, were: at #1 Singles, Adam Redden finishing 2-1 , #2 Singles Logan Summy finishing 3-0*, #3 Singles Ethan Laymen finished 2-1, and at #4 Singles Bryce Linton 2-1*. At #1 Doubles;, Brandon Van Overberge & Keston McGuire finished 1-2, #2 Doubles Cade Hovan & Xander Souchick finished 0-3, #3 Doubles Reef Cuthbert & Zach Laymen went 1-2, and finally at #4 Doubles, Brandon Farmer & Caden Cline finished 0-2. Match Results as included; at #1 Singles, Adam Redden defeating Coldwater HS 6-1, 6-1 to open the day, winning 6-0, 6-0 vs Hillsdale HS and falling to Grand Ledge 7-6 (3), 2-6, 10-2 in the final. At #2 Singles Logan Summy won vs Coldwater, 6-2, 6-2, received a default win vs Hillsdale and won in the final 6-2, 6-2 vs Grand Ledge. #3 Singles Ethan Laymen picked up a pair nice wins, 6-4, 6-3 vs Coldwater & 6-1, 6-1 vs Hillsdale before falling 6-3, 6-2 in the final vs Grand Ledge. #4 Singles, Bryce Linton defeated Coldwater 6-4, 6-4 In Doubles play, #1 Dubs Van Overberge & McGuire defeated Hillsdale 6-0, 6-1. And at #3 Dubs Cuthbert & Laymen defeated Hillsdale 6-1, 6-3. The Eddies host Plainwell this afternoon in a Wolverine Conference battle. Match play begins at 4pm
