The varsity men's tennis team traveled to Coldwater Saturday for the Cardinal Classic and earned a first place finish as overall team champion. The Eddies also took first place in four individual flights. Winning at #1 Singles, Adam Redden defeating Coldwater (6-3, 6-1), Grand Ledge (1-6, 6-3, 10-1), and Loy Norrix (6-1, 5-7, 11-9) Winning the #2 Singles flight, Logan Summy defeated Coldwater (7-5, 6-3), Grand Ledge (6-3, 6-4), and Loy Norrix (6-0, 6-1) Winning the #2 Doubles flight, Keston McGuire & Nico Georgeoff defeating Coldwater (6-2, 6-1), Grand Ledge (4-6, 6-0, 10-5) & Loy Norrix (6-4, 4-6, 10-5) Winning the #3 Doubles flight , Bryce Linton & Lincoln Fruedenburg defeated Coldwater (6-3, 6-0), Grand Ledge (6-3, 1-6, 10-7), & Loy Norrix (6-4, 7-5) As a team, the Eddies won 16 head to head (flight) matches and won 7 tie-breaks. Great job Eddies! The team plays at home in a conference match today vs. Three Rivers at 4pm
