The varsity girls basketball team lost a battle with Conference rival Paw Paw last night at home 28-48. The hard fought game stayed close while the Lady Eddies defense finished with 10 steals and turned over the Wolves 19 times. After a good start in the second half by the Eddies, the Red Wolves led by only 5. But a 10-2 run by the Wolves to close the third, and go into the fourth quarter, stalled the Lady Eddies. Shelby Laubach led they way for the Eddies with 16 points, while Kya Shier and Mallory Schrock added 6 and 4 points. The Lady Eddies host Sturgis at home Thursday night. Tip off is scheduled for 7pm following the JV contest.
